Galaxy
 
 
 
Hey yo peeps!!!!!!! Well we're going to talk about galaxies! So excited to talk about this topic! Anyway  - so what is a galaxy exactly?  Well a galaxy is a huge group of dust, gas and stars and the galaxy is held together by gravity.  Hey look at all the galaxies around us!!!
 
 
 
 
There are about 11111111111111111000000000 galaxies... just kidding.  There are actually 100 billion galaxies.  I know so many galaxies I'll count them 1.2.3 oh never mind. Well about the 100 billion galaxies that's just an estimate. More galaxies are growing right this second! Hey look over there!
 
This is my first time were going to time travel. So don't kill me if I mess it up.
 
 
Lets go talk to Edwin Hubble...
  
Me: Hi so you found out that all the galaxies are speeding away from us right?
Hubble: Yes I did I also found out about Cepheid variables.
 
Me: What are those?
 
Hubble: Well Cepheid variables are stars.
 
Me: Well that's interesting. Well - we have to go bye!
 
Hubble: Bye!

Lets talk about superclusters you ask.  A supercluster is a large group of stars! Their so tiny! Superclusters are the biggest structures in the universe!  The average distance between galaxies are ten diameters so far!!!! A huge supercluster it takes about 100 million light years in diameter! That's a lot!
 
 
 
 
 
There are 4 ways you can classify a galaxy. 1) Elliptical- They are shaped like a ball and contain dust, gas and mostly old stars. 2) Spiral- They are disk shaped and they have 2 major arms and many minor arms.  They have mostly mid- aged stars.3) There is also a barred spiral galaxy witch fits into the spiral but anyway. Our galaxy is a barred spiral. They have a band across the middle. 4) Irregular-  This galaxy has no shape at all! They are filled with baby stars!
 
 
There is a thing in space called Doppler Shift. Doppler Shift includes Blue shift and Red shift. Blue shift is when a planet is moving toward us and it on the blue side of the scale. Then there is Red shift. Red shift is when its moving away from us and its on the red side of the scale. So blue coming toward us and red away from us.

Hey yo peeps! So were going to learn abbout the life cycle of stars! Amazing right!  Sorry so happy to teach you about this.  First were going to talk about steller nurseries. What are stellar nurseries you ask. A stellar nurseier is were baby stars are born. Awwww cut-

 Lets talk about prostars!  A prostar is like a baby star. Acually it is excactly a baby star. One day it will go into the main- sequence of its life! Not so cute then. Stellar nurseries are were prostars are born. You already read about that in the first paragraph. Well lets move on.
 
Were going to talk about nuclear fusion right now! The fusion in the star's atoms create hydrogien. Nuclear fusion also genrates a lot pf energy causing the star to ingnite.  Just like use except we don't go into flames or exploded...  anyway.  Every star has to ignite at some point. Lets move on people.
  
 
Lets talk about the main-sequence stage in the stars life. In the stars main sequence witch is the longest part of the stars life a few things happen. 1) the star starts to lose fuel and 2) then it will turn into a red giant and many more things! Well lets move on. 
 
 
 

         this is what happens after its main sequence.  It dependeds on the stars mass after the main sequence. 1) If it is very very low in mass its main sequence may last a trillion years longer that our universe.  2) If its a mid size star like our sun it will expand into a red giant and swallow us up!!!! 3) If its larger than our sun then it will collapes into a nutron star or a black hole! Anyway lets move on .
After all that scary stuff with all the red giant and stuff it becomes a white dwarf.  After like trillions of years it finally cools down into a white dwarf. A white dwarf is the end of the stars life. So sad. Well not much to a white dwarf really. Well lets move on.

Were going to talk about a plantery nebula. A plantery nebula is made out of gas and dust. It relates to its life cycle of stars because thats how a star stars out. the life cycle is ... plantery nebula, prostar, main sequence, red giant, white dwarf,and more. Lets talk about some thing eles.



Well in a supernova a star has to be larger than our sun. A supernova is a star that collapes on itself and explodes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh scary!



What is a netron star you ask? Well a nutron star is a very high density star that is packed with nutrons.  They are made by big stars collapeing after a supernova and it spins!!!


What is a pulsar???? Well... it is a spinning nutron star that gives out radio waves. Well not much there. Shall we?


After a supernova what happens? Well after a supernova it can become a nutron star or a black hole. A sigularty is formed to make a black hole. Hello! We are going to talk about black holes! Scary AHHHHHH! Ok anyway... So what are blackholes you ask. Weellll a blackhole is invisable holes that suck things into it. There are two places in a black hole, Event Horizon and No Return! SCARY!!!

What makes a blackhole you ask. Well things. Fine I'll tell you. A blackhole can be made two diffrent ways. 1) the fuel eventually runs out and it implodes. 2) A collection of matter at the center of a galaxy and it callapes on itself! AHHHHHH!!!!!

You see an black hole is so strong that even light can't escape it! Thats why its called a black hole. What? You don't know what I mean! There's no light in a black hole so its dark.  BOOOOM! Hey its a star exploding!!!  AHHHH run for your life! Just kiding.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Black holes may be small but thier powerful... Some black holes in the center of galaxys are about Two million miles across! Wow thats a lot Sciencecat!  Some people like to think as them as Worm holes! Why Meap? Welll its a hole and... I don't want to explain this!

There are two kinds of blackholes. 1) Schwarzschild- a non rotating black hole and 2)Kerr- a rotating black hole. A Schwarzchild  is very simple it only has an event horizen and a singularity. Our Milky Way
The Milky Way is a galaxy That we live in. Were just a tiny tiny spec of  the Milky Way. From the
 Earth the galaxy looks milky and hazy. That is why we call it the Milky Way.

Some astronomers think there is a Supermassive Blackhole in the middle of the galaxy! A black hole is when two or a group of stars clasp and turn into a blackhole!  You may think a black hole is cool like my friend over there but its not! Not even light can escape the pull of the black hole! Thats bad.  There are other things lets get away from the black holes or else it will suck us in.  The earth is located on the Orion arm.  Our solar system orbits or goes around the galactic center.  The Milky Way is made up of planets,gas, dust, and a unknown substance called dark matter. What is a Halo. You may think that it is a hat that angels wear thats one thing but a Halo is outside of a disk is the Halo.  Our Solar system is only a little spec of our galaxy! We look that small! Yes Emma we do look that small.  We are 26,000 light years away from the center! Thats a lot!

The Big Bang
Hey guys its Science Meap again. Today were going to talk about The Big Bang! What is The Big Bang you ask? Well The Big Bang is a One Explosion! BOOM! Woo what is that I think that was The Big Bang! No that was my friend popping balloons. Hey that's a great example! Think of a balloon at the beginning its a small little thing. You blow it up and if you blow it up enough it Will pop. POP! Stop popping the balloons! Back to the balloon that is exactly what happened with the singularity! You never and I say never know when it will blow up. POP! by. I said quit popping the balloons! Anyway lets talk about other things.



The universe is 14.5 billion years old.  It was scorching hot when it exploded it was 100,000 billion billion billion degrees.  This one person said that the universe was just there. The Big Bang was correct! there was hard evidence that the big bang did happen. There was left over radiation from the explosion. Well bye!

First what is the Scientific Method. The scientific Method is a seiris of steps that scientist use to find an answer   a question.

The steps are...

  1. Ask a question- What is your question.
  2. form a hypothesis-What do you think will happen?
  3. Creat an expirement- To show if your hypothesis is right or wrong.
  4. Preform it- Show it to a group of people.
  5. Anylize the data-Is the data reliable?
  6. The last step communicate you resultes- Your done yea!




Here is a question for everyone! Is there only 1 hypothesis? What is your opinon? I learned that there is not only one but a billion more! Why? Let me make this simpile for you people like to make thier own hypothsis! Why? They don't like to do it the first way I showed you they just like to make thier own then.
